April features the Institute for Sustainable Futures at UTS in Sydney.
Located on George Street in the city, this building with its green cantilever of plants spilling out into the air and down the walls, practically stops you in your tracks. A building such as this reminds me of how our cities and institutions can chose to think outside the box of cement and glass, and celebrate our human connection with nature to think, feel, and breathe better.
The scene draws you in both aestetically and architectually. Whether you are a pedestrian, cyclist, or office worker looking out at it from your window, it makes you smile.
Its a no-brainer, really, and I hope it inspires many more leaders, institutions, and architects.
