For the pure serenity that is South Bruny Island, we arrived in the mid afternoon when the sun was low, the shadows long and the air perfectly warm. This quiet, breathtakingly beautiful spot holds a lot of memories for our family, with heaps of happy moments with friends, and with visiting family from OS. This time in January was no different, and just what we needed in a holiday, to wind down after a busy holiday season.
The Tasmanian landscape is a never ending inspiration for artists, hikers and lovers of the natural environment, to mention just a few. For photographers, it’s just another level of spectacular.
Since our return from overseas, I am loving re-exploring this rich island’s captivating shapes, crazy beautiful colours and textures, incredible light and of course stories with my lens, and I am getting really excited about my growing collection of images in this personal project, and plans to feature them in an exhibition later this year. Watch this space!
